In our Technology Function, our Product & Design team designs and engineers complex proprietary software that automates and optimises the delivery of our market leading products.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated UX/UI Designer to join our Product & Design team. Day to day you will lead and work on small projects, take on bigger ones, and contribute to the development of design strategies that align with business objectives and user needs. You will also be contributing to our growing design-system.

Indicative Responsibilities:

• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable user-centered, functional and attractive designs
• Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity user interfaces and experiences that simplify and distil down complex processes
• Design iterations in almost all cases to explore different ideas and solutions that meet user needs. Experiment with various features, interactions, layouts and styles.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and goals.
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to final implementation
• Provide and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to ensure alignment with the overall user experience strategy and collaboration within teams and projects
• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure high quality design output
• Assist in project planning, scoping, and resource allocation

Requirements

The ideal candidate would possess:

• BSc/MSc in Design, Computer Science or similar field
• Strong experience in a similar position with a portfolio showcasing design expertise and project experience
• Strong design skills and understanding of layout, typography and color theory
• Strong understanding of human behaviour and user-centered design principles
• Ability to balance creativity with analytical thinking 
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or other relevant design software
• Understanding of technologies such as HTML and CSS (optional)
• Experience connecting your work with other related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
• Leadership skills to manage products from planning to the final deliverable.
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Team player attitude
• Passion for learning, innovation and experimentation, exhibiting a growth mindset. Ability to apply the latest learnings to your work
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
